Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)
Although there were forerunners who previously developed these techniques, today we have Gary Craig to thank for wealth of knowledge available. This process relies on an easy system of acupressure tapping on certain acupuncture meridian points to clear trapped emotions and negative beliefs. It also allows you to "tap in" new, healthy beliefs in their place. Once you learn the process, you can really use it for just about anything. Many people also find relief from physical symptoms through applying EFT. There are many resources available to help you with this process, some of them free and many of them low-cost. All levels of help are available, from the bare-bones basics you can then work out the rest for yourself, to audios and videos you can just tap along with. You will find the best resources I have found listed below.

Gary Craig is the creator of EFT as we know it today. He has provided a wealth of information over the years and expanded the reach and the possibilities for using EFT. His old website was morphed into Dawson Church's website below, but he now has a really great, user-friendly website with free online tutorials and information at www.garythink.com. There are many EFT practitioners around the world and many have developed their own style, sometimes differing from the "official" EFT Gary teaches. But they all got their start with Gary's work and it is THE real deal. This is really the best first place to start.
This book on the left is the original full, hard-copy manual by Gary Craig.
Tapping World Summit -- Although this resource only happens once a year (in April), it's one to mark your calendars for and make sure you are signed up to participate. I will include the sign-up link here when it is live and send out the info in my newsletter, also. It's ten days of free presentations by top EFT experts every evening. Both take place at the same time, with free replays available until the new one broadcasts the next evening. Downloads and CD's of the whole event can also be purchased, if you want access to them forever. I always mark my calendar, clear my schedule, and take copious notes! Most presenters include lots of tapping rounds, so all you have to do it follow along with people all over the world.
EFT Universe -- At EFT Universe, you can find lots of great free resources, including the free "mini-EFT manual", and sign up for the free newsletter. There are also books and courses available for purchase, as well as many years worth of archives of articles and newsletters from Gary's original website.
EFT Radio -- If you're an auditory learner, or if you just like the opportunity to listen to EFT masters share their expertise with you, this is a great resource. This weekly online "radio" program is free.
The Tapping Solution -- This is another good place to start, brought to you by the people who produce the Tapping World Summit. The video, The Tapping Solution, is a great documentary on how several EFT experts worked with a small number of people to successfully clear many challenges they were dealing with. Many additional EFT experts were interviewed and featured in the video, probably some of whom you'll recognize, like life coach Cheryl Richardson and Chicken Soup creator, Jack Canfield. There is also a free book download available and a free "how-to-tap" video. Click here for more information on ordering a copy of the video.
The Tapping Insiders Club -- This resource comes to you from the creators of the Tapping World Summit and The Tapping Solution. It is a membership site providing hours and hours of audio and video presentations by the best of the best experts in the world of EFT. It's a great resource to learn more and follow along with EFT tap-alongs for pretty much any subject you could think of. You can also really get a feel for each of the different experts featured and see which one(s) you might be interested in pursuing more information from. They all pretty much have their own websites with products and private coaching sessions available.
The Carol Tuttle Healing Center -- This resource is another paid membership site, with really high-quality videos, as well as audios, that you can just follow along and tap with. Carol Tuttle is a master energy healer and also includes other energy medicine techniques. She has a unique method of using EFT which is very enjoyable and effective. The tap-along videos include visuals of Carol talking and tapping, as well as written script. A 3-day trial membership is available for $3.95, so it's really worth a try to see if it provides the kind of help you're looking for. All you have to do is set aside time to do this work and then let Carol walk you through it. There's nothing to try to figure out on your own, but once you use it for a while, you'll get really good at doing it on your own.
Brad Yates -- I really like Brad Yates' style of EFT! His tapping scripts are innovative and get right to the heart of the issues in a way you can really relate to. He is featured in both The Tapping Solution video and in presentations in The Tapping Insiders Club. I highly recommend his EFT Wizard's Complete Book of Tapping Scripts. I refer to it constantly and it's a very inexpensive download. I intially printed out only the table of contents and then printed out individual scripts as needed, but I quickly discovered that wasn't going to work and decided to just bite the bullet and hook up to a laser printer to print out the whole darn thing. I'm so glad I did and it's come in handy often for helping friends, too. I mean, why reinvent the wheel? Before I spend time coming up with an appropriate tapping script, I check to see if one of Brad's will fit the bill. It's really easy to energy test the table of contents and then go from there. Sometimes, the title that comes up makes no sense to me -- until I read through the script and it hits the nail on the head every time -- even if I'm using it for a somewhat different issue than it was originally intended.
