T-Tapp
I really have tried pretty much every exercise program out there, from Richard Simmons to Callanetics to Pilates, from the treadmill to the HealthRider to the Easy-Glide to the Thighmaster, and on and on. And while I'm not a fan of exercise, I AM a huge fan of the results. Back when I first started working out, we didn't have all the data to back up the many benefits of exercise. We do now, however, and I have my own data, based on over 25 years of alternatively trying stuff and giving up. What I can't live without, literally, are the endorphins, the wonderful "feel good" hormones our brains manufacture in response to exercise. I learned early on that getting on the treadmill first thing in the morning was often the difference between staying in bed with depression or moving on to having a pretty good day.

T-Tapp addresses every single health concern people turn to exercise for -- all in one package deal. It takes care of your cardio, your stretching, your strength building, flexibility and balance, and it reduces inches faster than anything else I've ever tried. And it does all that without impact or wear and tear on your joints. In fact, T-Tapp is a rehabilitative workout and if you use proper form, you will increase flexibility and joint health. One of the best things about it is that you don't have to do it every day to get those benefits. If you're like me and need to do a little exercise every day for the endorphins, there are other options for "off days". There is a 15-minute version of the most important, first part of the workout (some people just start with that), as well as other optional workouts that can be done in addition to the Total Workout.
This one, the Total Workout, is the place to start for most people. It is comprehensive and has a couple options, depending on how much time you have to workout each day. It also includes an audio CD of the whole workout, which could be used when traveling. You really can T-Tapp in a motel room, since you only need a very small space in which to do it. You can also move into it slowly, going as far as you can through the full workout until you're up to doing the whole thing. There are also other advanced workouts if you choose to use them later, which move more quickly, with less instruction, but the Total Workout is truly all you'll ever need; anything else is optional. |
Worried you're not up for the full Total Workout? Teresa's got you covered. T-Tapp MORE is actually 4 workouts in one. There's even a "sit-down" version that you can do. You can even do it at your desk at work. MORE workouts move a little more slowly, and there are more options for shorter workouts. Many T-Tappers find that they just like the pace and slower attention to detail in MORE and like to alternate it with their Total Workout. If you're really concerned about recovery from an injury or getting back into working out after a long time of inactivity, this is probably a good place to start. |
If you want a walking workout you can do indoors (without a treadmill!) and get more accomplished in less time, as per the T-Tapp specialty, Step Away the Inches is right up your alley. Teresa teaches you how to walk in place, in proper T-Tapp form, which mazimizes your fat-burning and toning ability and really gets results. You can even take the form tips you learn in this workout and apply them to your outdoor or treadmill walking. You will learn how to easily raise your heart rate when you want to, and also how to protect your knees, as with all T-Tapp workouts. If you find you love this workout, there's even a higher intensity walking workout, Step It To the Max, that you can move up to, if you choose. |
There's even a T-Tapp workout your kids can do -- even while they're at school! My kids do some of the exercises on this DVD every morning before beginning homeschool. Some school teachers (including a T-Tapp trainer!) even use them in the classroom. You only need a small space for all standing T-Tapp moves and Tapp Core is no exception. There's even a short workout you can do sitting in a chair. Tapp Core is not just for kids, though, and it does give you some independent moves you can throw in anywhere. Each move has two versions: one version is complete and thorough instruction and the other is just going through the moves once you understand the form. Of course, the kids get a kick of out Teresa's dog "Buddy" working out with her from his backpack on her back. Maybe you will, too! |
Heard about the benefits of dry skin brushing but couldn't figure out how or where to get the right kind of brush or exactly how to do the brushing? That's what happened to me -- and then I discovered Teresa's body brushing system. It comes with a video with complete instructions on the proper brushing pattern and the perfect body brush. Not only do you get the detox benefits of helping your skin get rid of the gunk and help flush your lymphatic system, but you can also tone your skin so you don't end up with lots of sagging when you lose all those extra inches. |
If you'd rather start out with a book, check out Fit and Fabulous in 15 minutes, which includes a DVD with Teresa's signature moves for flat tummies as an extra bonus. The descriptions and photos are excellent and are also a great addition to the DVD programs, for extra clarification on the oh-so-important T-Tapp form.
